We executed a complete product development lifecycle for a smart industrial IoT gateway, from initial concept and requirements through hardware design, firmware development, manufacturing support, and field deployment, delivering a production-ready product within 12 months.

The project encompassed custom PCB design with ARM SoC, embedded Linux BSP development, application software engineering, cloud connectivity, OTA update infrastructure, and regulatory certification (FCC, CE, UL), culminating in successful mass production.

Our cross-functional team delivered a complete product solution covering all aspects of development:

Hardware Engineering

Designed custom 6-layer PCB with ARM Cortex-A processor, selected components for industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), implemented robust power supply with battery backup, and conducted EMI/EMC testing and optimization.

Firmware Development

Developed Yocto-based Linux BSP with U-Boot and kernel, created device drivers for peripherals, implemented secure boot and encrypted storage, and developed modular application framework with plugin architecture.

Cloud & Connectivity

Integrated MQTT broker with TLS for secure communication, implemented device provisioning and authentication, developed OTA update system with A/B partitions, and added remote diagnostics and telemetry collection.

Manufacturing & Support

Created automated production test suite, developed factory flashing system with MAC address programming, provided manufacturing documentation and training, and supported certification testing (FCC Part 15, CE EMC, UL 60950).
